Pharoah Sanders, Stefano Bollani and Matt Renzi to headline Tel Aviv Jazz Festival

Pharoah Sanders, Stefano Bollani and Matt Renzi will join Israeli Jazz favorites such as Daniel Zamir, Slava Ganelin and Uri Bracha as headliners for this year's Tel Aviv Jazz Festival.

 

This year's 18th annual Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival will present with leading international artists like Pharoah Sanders, a legendary saxophone player and John Coltrane’s successor; the pianist Stefano Bollani, The saxophone and clarinet player Matt Renzi along with his Trio; the Organissimo Trio from Michigan, and the American jazz vocalists Judy Wexler.

 

Israeli Jazz musicians will perform with special performances for the festival - Slava Ganelin and Vladimir Volkov, Daniel Zamir and Omri Mor, Julia Feldman, Uri Bracha, Nadav Haber, Ilia Mor and many others.

 

The Pharoah Sanders Quartet will open this year festival in a special opening show on February 20 in the Mann Auditorium, Hekhal haTarbut. During the four day festival the Israeli audience will be able to participate, for the first time, in special Master Classes with artists from abroad.
